Hey there @ppalmeraz! It's great to see you in the Community. This is a pretty weird thing you getting double readings for your sleep. When was the first time that this happened to you? Have you tried to force quite the App? How are you adjusting/editing your sleep? All this information is very useful for me to know exactly what is happening with your Sleep Logs. Any other detail will be very appreciated (please include screenshots if you have).
Please note that your Surge automatically tracks your sleep, so it should detect when you stop sleeping using the movements on your hand and then automatically transfer those details to the Fitbit App after syncing. Why don't you try to let your Surge detects those changes during night by itself and see if it works for you.
I'll be around in case that you have questions!
