Surge extender band or repair

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I started by cutting down a used bicycle inner tube to 12 inches to extend hole side of watch band. The inner tube has to measure one inch wide when flattened out. I rinsed the inner tube to remove the powdery substance in it. Dry it out. Then carefully push it on the hole side of the band about 2 inches. The further you push it on the better. You will see it is a little work but ends up being a excellent friction fit. Now place watch on your wrist in the desired location. Bring inner tube around through  clasp to allow around two inches and cut. While on your wrist mark where you want slot to attach to clasp. I used a leather hole punch to make slot through double layer of inner tube for clasp. I punch two holes small enough to fit width of clasp piece . Then carefully used a sharp exacto knife to cut rubber between holes. You can use rubber cement to close up inner tube end that goes through hasp if you want. . I've used my Surge all day and nothing slipped. Looks sleak.
