Hi !
On this Forum I've read that many Surge users have problem with Surge battery life suddenly, probably because of firmwire version, which drains battery life. I have the same problem in the last 14 days and that really frustrates me.
Is there any way to "downgrade" firmwire version to a previous one, because I cannot use my Surge like this....I charge it every evening after practice, disconnect it after 4 hours and when I wake up in the morning it's almost empty !!!!!
PLEASE HELP

Hi, @Pa3cija , I am having no such issue, and that is certainly not normal behaviour! As a first troubleshooting step, please try giving your Surge a restart . This will shut down any background activities that may be causing your battery to drain rapidly.

It's not possible to revert to the previous version.
Noticed that battery increased again by disabling most of the automatically recognized exercises on the Devices Settings Page
Have only enabled walking, needing to charge once a week
* Setting heart rate to automatic instead of on, does increase battery life to.
Hope it helps

There are many posts re sudden battery drain issue after the last firmware update and the most successful solution to this problem for many users impacted is turning off all day sync in the mobile app. I really would have thought that the fitbit moderators should have the latest solutions at hand to the numerous Surge issues that exist? Then again there are so many that it maybe an incredible feat to be able to remember them all or have quick access and reverting to the standard reset and contact customer support is the easier path for them I guess.
Hope this helps.

Battery problems on newest surge firware are most likely caused by your android app settings.
This is almost always due to the evil option "All day sync" that strive against battery life because excess of syncronization workload. Simply turn off all day sync and you will gain a big battery boost.
Of course, a wise implementation would be NOT to have a single off/on settings but something like "autosync every XX minutes", so i can tradeoff between battery consumption and sync effectiveness, but this is too much demand to poor fitbit software engineer, so at this time the only option is to keep that evil option off and hope in a newer firmware revision/app revision to address this issue.
