My Surge started flashing "Not Connected" after I had it on the charger overnight. It seems to work fine, when I can navigate around the notification. I have cycled the power a few times, but it continues to flash this notification. The Fitbit Connect App sees the Surge and connects/uploads data. Feels like a software problem, but I don't have a clue what the incantation might be to fix it.
Sorry if this is a known issue.

Have you tried a restart? Do it at least 3 times.
