Surge hand me down

I just received a Surge hand me down.  How do I get it to sync?  My friend deactivated it from her phone.

go to fitbit.com/setup in your mobile's browser and it will lead you to the App, install the App and follow the set up as a new user dialog.  Come on back if you hit any snags, hey, come back anyway and share your experience, glad to see you.
