The heart monitor on surge stopped working 

awaiting a solution or replacement watch .

First, reset your device by holding the left and bottom right until the screen fades (around 20 seconds) then release. This fixes most Surge problems. After rebooting, go to settings (hit left button) and see if the heart rate is set to always-on, off, or auto. If neither of these two things fixes your issues, probably it's a hardware problem.
