Hey all.
My girlfriend just bought me a Surge for Christmas, and it seems the home button is not working nor is the touch screen responsive.
I've been looking through various posts dealing with these issues and have tried..
1. Changing the clock face on the mobile app and syncing (a half dozen times) - which hasn't solved the issue of an unresponsive touch screen and home button.
2. Intermingled with copious attempts to restart the device by holding home and the lower right button for "ten to fifteen seconds", releasing and waiting for it to turn off.. Which it never does.
It was new and unopened, I charged it completely, and calling FitBit tech support is not an option (I live in Australia).. Any ideas? Or is this as I think, and faulty right out of the box? 😕

But if it was bought local I would take it back there and exchange it. It would be faster
