Surge keeps fading out/shutting down randomly?!

Hi there!

 

I have recently purchased my Fitbit Surge. It arrived yesterday (21/1/2016).

 

I updated and charged the fitbit to full during the day whilst I was at work so I know that it is not the battery running low, but occasionally the screen will slowly fade out untill it is completely blank! I will then have to press buttons on the watch to turn the devise back on.

 

This is very frustrating for me considering it is a new purchase. I'm concerned it will turn off during exercise and won't log properly.

 

I have been looking at the forum and I can't seem to find anyone else with the same issue as this. I'm thinking that I probably have a faulty devise.

 

Any ideas?!

Did you turned on the tracker normally or restarted the tracker?

 

If not already done, it's possible to restart the tracker.

When the issue remains, the tracker needs to be exchanged.

Thanks for your response. I have already restarted the tracker multiple times with no luck. After a little more research I have actually found a discussion for someone that is experiencing the same issue:

I purchased through Amazon.co.uk and they have agreed to give me a full refund. I am going to put the money aside for the Blaze as and when it becomes available.

The Fitbit Store mentions when pre-ordering the Blaze, it ships in March.
