Surge losing time and shorter battery life

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

Had my surge since May 2015. Really like it, but since the last FW update have noticed that my surge loses about one minute per day and the battery is only lasting about 4 days rather than the week it used to have.

I do not use the backlight, nor do I have it paired with my phone for texts, etc. HR is set to auto. Only one alarm. Notifications is off.

Version is 16.34.5.14 and I synch to a Windows 10 laptop.

Any ideas?

@bcdechert Welcome to the Fitbit family! Hey, that sounds fairly odd. Just out of curiosity, have you tried restarting your Surge? Thanks for indicate that your notifications are off, 'cause this is one of the reasons why your Surge's battery is draining quickly. Also, your HR monitor should be set to Auto just like you indicated. This will definitely ensure a longer battery life. However, if you're using the GPS a lot that might be the reason why the battery is only lasting 4 days. Give that restart a try and keep me posted with the results. Oh! just make sure you're charging your Surge for appropriately 1 - 2 hours. Keep me posted! Cat Wink

Actually I turn my Surge off before recharging otherwise it won't take the charge. And yes I also leave it charging for a couple of hours. I haven't used the GPS so that is not the problem. When I such the time gets reset, but it still loses about one minute per day. I only sync manually to my laptop and not to my cell. This only started since the Dec update.
