I'm a very active person, I have an almost 1 year old so I'm constantly running up and down stairs and just always going. Today I went to my first Pilate's class it was very hard for me. I forgot to start tracking my exercise. So I would think for that hour I would have gained activite minutes and there is nothing there. Also when I am pushing a stroller or a shopping cart my surge is not always counting my steps either

Pocket trackers do better when pushing a shopping cart... you could try putting Surge in pocket while pushing a cart or stroller

That seems to happen to me. I will do an activity or something for awhile that I'm sure will give me active minutes and then find out I have nothing or like 2 mins worth.
As fir the stroller or shopping cart. It won't be counted if your arm is standing still. So if you are pushing a stroller or shopping cart you will want to move the arm the fitbit is on to get the counts to step. Keeping that arm still won't register any steps.

Hello there @Cabraszek and @matt9013! Your buddy is designed to record your steps while you push a shopping cart. To get this information, I recommend switching from dominant to non dominant, this will increase the sensitivity of your tracker. Another option is @bbarrera's advice.
You earn Active Minutes when you're active for more than 10 continues minutes. Let's suppose, you've been running for 8 minutes and then you stop to take a breath, those minutes won't be taken into consideration. But if you run for 12 minutes then you'll see them on your Dashboard.
Let me know how this helps.

Thanks for the update @Cabraszek! In this case, you can use your tracker on "Pilates". This option is included on your Settings Account. You have up to 7 options to choose.
Let me know how this goes!

Yup @Cabraszek, your Surge should record your activity, if this is not happening, I recommend contacting Support to get more details about this. I'm pretty sure they'll be glad to take a look into their system and provide you the solution you need.
Good luck!
