Surge not recording active minutes on bike ride

My surge records route when biking but has stopped recording an accurate heartrate for me which then shows much lesser minutes of active exercise. it appears that the heart rate is the problem as it is lower than on other previous rides when it recorded correctly, anyone had this problem and found a cure?

Bump 😕 My bike ride was 85 miles it should have tracked some active mins?!! It did until about two weeks ago on my other rides. Anyone have a quick answer, it's been perfect up till now. I've re-set to no avail 😞

I'll be happy to help you @Pilchard! To get more accurate readings of your heart rate, I recommend making sure you're wearing your tracker properly. While you're exercising, your Surge needs to be a couple inches higher than usual. Something like this:

You get active minutes when you're active for more than 10 continuous minutes. That means that if you're active for 8 minutes and then you stop, those minutes won't be taken into consideration.

Hope this helps!
