Surge, not telling the right distance

If I walk 10,000 steps it says 2 miles

This is often down to your stride length being set incorrectly (distance = stride x steps)

 

Have you overridden the default stride length in your profile settings at https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit ? If so, I think you may have calculated your stride wrong.

 

If not then the default will be in use. This is calculated by fitbit based on your height so it's worth checking that this is set correctly in the same profile settings.
