Surge not tracking pace?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I'm new to Fitbit, but I noticed when wearing my Surge and using the elliptical, the pace always shows as 0 in my exercise summary. I have seen other responses that the auto-detect mode won't report pace, but it shows 0 when I go to exercise mode and select the elliptical option before the workout. Is there something special you have to do for it to track that?

From memory, I believe the Surge only reports Pace when it's using GPS to track position and so work out real world distance. On an elliptical this simply won't be the case so I think you're in an area that the tracker simply doesn't support.
