Surge receiving calls but not text messages from Sony Experia zx

My Surge will receive call notifications but not text messages from my Sony Experia ZX. I have tried all the trouble shooting... Unpairing, checking Bluetooth etc. The permissions are all on including for sms. Any help?

Hi i also have had this problem mine is with Moto g6. I have also done all of the help things as well with no luck.

I have the same problem using my Samsung J3. Started out displaying messages just fine but after recent update all it shows is "New Message" or nothing at all. Have done all of the troubleshooting. Worked with a tech at FB too. Nothing seems to work.

Unfortunately i have had no luck since the latest update. Mine still doesn't sync properly and i have to fully recharge it and uninstall app and re install app and reconnect every 2 to 3 days it is annoying

Same thing for my iphoneX.

It vibrates and notifies for calls but nothing at all for texts...
