Surge screen frozen

After completing a fairly strenuous hike my Surge has frozen on the summary screen showing the time, miles and calories of the hike. Have been unable to shutdown and reset. Also, I thought the charge would run out and maybe I would be able to reset, but after 3 days that hasn't happened either.
