Surge showing 200bpm and 8000 calories burned on days I don't wear it

As the title says, Surge is doing something wonky. Today I noticed it showing a 200 bmp heart rate while I haven't worn it all day. It's also showing 4500 calories burned, while my BMR is just 2900.

I've experienced something like this a few weeks ago, when Surge assigned me 8000 calories burned on a weekend I didn't wear it. Back then I chalked it up to a post-firmware update bug and moved on.

But now it's becoming a real pain. Why is it doing this? Is this some badly designed feature or a bug? How do I fix it?.. It's really screwing up my averages and my tracking.

Additionally, is there a way to fix the erroneous calorie count on my dashboard?

thanks!

Try restarting your Surge. This does no harm and can sort out all sorts of issues:

Note that it doesn't always work first time so give it a few tries.
