Surge timer in Walk Mode

Today in when I was walking, I used to GPS Walk Mode to track my walking pace.  When I check the timer, it was running incredibly fast. In about 2 seconds it registered 5 minutes.  I have restarted the Surge twice and it is still malfunctioning.

 

This function isn't working in any of activity or run mode.  Can you please point me to a solution?

I went for a run this morning and had the very same thing happen to me. It was accelerating by a factor of 2. What version of firmware do you have installed? I have 16.345.14. I am training for a marathon and need to be able to see my progress (pace especially). This will render my fitbit surge useless and necessitate purchasing a more accurate alternative product. Hope to get an answer ASAP.

Hi guys @cmindenhall and @llchapmanlv! Ok, if you already tried to restart your Fitbit Surge, and this issue persists, then I suggest you to take a look into the instructions on @AlejandraFitbit posts in order to set it up your trackers as a new device either on an Android or on an iOS.
