Surge was counting stairs and now stopped

Hi
My surge has been working fine. I have a three story house that's almost 200 years old it has front stairs and back stairs. The surge has always counted them then one day like a week ago it stopped counting stairs. It counts my steps but every day says I have climbed zero floors. I am up and down these stairs ALL DAY long.
Thanks

@Rach1375 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! First, perform a restart on your tracker. Also, remember that one floor will be registered every time you climb about 10 feet at one time. It will not register any floors when you go down. So, the change in elevation is the key here, elevation by 10 feet. Also, for more details, check the floors section of this accuracy article.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Very Happy

Surge site says it counts stairs by changes in elevation of 10 foot, up only. I cannot see why it would stop counting your ascent unless you pause at a landing which is less than 10 foot above the last one, or the floor. If it works purely on altitude measurement how does it know you are not in an elevator or a stair master? The algorithm must be more complex than they tell us.
