Surge will not charge

Brand new Surge, shows as lower power even though plugged in to mains overnight and plugged to PC for several hours.

Thanks for joining us @LewM, hope you're doing great! Congratulations on your new Surge.  Usually when the Fitbit is new and it is having issues with the battery level, it is because something went wrong while Setup process, or it is having hardware issues. Please try the next steps:

 

  • Restart your Surge a couple of times and fully charge it
  • Open the Bluetooth from the phone Settings (only for mobile devices for computers skip this step) and remove the Surge from there
  • Force quite the Fitbit App and turn off the device
  • Open the Fitbit App again and under Account find the option "Set up a device" and replace the Fitbit Surge as a replacement, if not sure about how to do it; see this post.

Make sure that mobile device and Fitbit App are up to date. If the battery of your Surge keeps draining, contact Customer Support, so they can further investigate to give you the next step. Smiley Happy
