Has the surge been withdrawn from sale? I've had a lot of problems - seems I'm not the only one. Has it been withdrawn due to poor quality / associated issues?
Quality issues are not likely a reason that stock is depleted. More likely is that Fitbit will come out with something new before the holidays. As to what, mostly speculation at this point.
