Surge won't charge no matter what I do! So frustrated!!

I have been having trouble charging my Surge for months now.  I first noticed a problem over the summer when I would plug the charge into the watch but it wouldn't charge.  I soon learned that I needed to wiggle the wire around a bit to get it to charge.  After a few weeks, this approach did not work either, so I did all the other things advised on this forum (cleaned the contacts, hard re-booted it, etc.).  Sometimes this would do the trick, but only for a few charges.  Eventually, my charger would not work on my watch at all, so I started to use my husband's charger.  This seemed to work better, but after a few weeks, the same problem - I would have to wiggle the charger in the watch a number of times before it would take a charge.  My husband had no problem whatsoever when he plugs his Surge into the same charger.

Today, after nearly an hour of trying, I could not get the charger to connect to my watch at all.  No matter what I tried today, I could not get it to charge.  Seriously, I spent nearly an hour trying to get it to charge.  So now I sit here with a totally dead battery that I can't charge.  This is so frustrating - the device is not even a year old yet and the problems started after only a few months.  I am very very disappointed in the Surge.  I survived the 'rash' only to fall victim to the lousy charging contacts on my device.

Tonight I plugged in my Basis Peak again - thankfully I have a reliable back up that has never let me down after nearly 2 years.

My Surge is difficult to charge as well and has been for months.  I've finally given up and am calling Fitbit.  We'll see if they come up with anything helpful.
