Surge won't reset to use with another account

I wanted to give it to my son who is 13 because nobody is using it... I tried everything... The time and date are completely off and it won't sync with his phone. I spent 1 hour on the phone with costumer service, no help! I'm not sure what to do. He really wants to wear it.

Edit to add is his phone on the compatibly list?

Yes, I have. I was told that as long as he is at least 13 y.o. I can do it.

Is good phone on the compatible list, and may I ask what phone your having issues with?

You say it won't sync, but I think your trying to setup the tracker to your son's account.

At what step does the setup fail?

Does the same find the Surge?

Does a 4 digit code display on the Surge?

Can you enter the code into the app?

What happens?

Any error messages?
