Surge won't stay turned off

My Surge comes on when connected to a power source.  I’d like it to stay off it is off when connected but that’s not a big deal.

 

The real problem I’m having is my Surge  comes on seemingly randomly throughout the day when I’m not using it.  The result is when I go to use it, the battery is often dead.

 

Any suggestions to stop this behavior?

To be clear, when I say it comes on randomly, this is when it’s off and not connected to a power source.
