Surge won't sync in europe

Hello community!

I have a surge and I'm currently in France. My Fitbit absolutely will not sync any data to my phone right now, and hasn't since I arrived in France. I've tried with both wifi signal & 3G to no avail. I've also turned the surge off and on again, reset the surge, tuned Bluetooth off and on again and force quit the app and restarted it. Still no results. Any suggestions as to how I can get it syncing? I ran the marathon today and don't want to lose the gps data!

Salut @SuperMooseA warm welcome to our Fitbit Community familyCat Happy

Hope you're enjoying France! It's odd that your Surge is not syncing now that you're there, thanks for trying those steps by the way. Good thing is that your tracker can store 35 hours of GPS data before deleting some to make room for more. So, let's check the requirement that your phone should have to properly connect and follow these syncing steps to make your Surge to communicate again with your phone?

Which model of phone do you have? Did you check if it is up to date? Let me know if you're encountering any error while troubleshooting.

Give it a shot and let me know if that works! Woman Wink

Hey, thanks for the reply.
I am using the iPhone 7 & have the most recent os installed on it. I've given the steps you suggested a go, deleting the device from the app & forgetting the Bluetooth however now when I reload the app and try to add the device again I get an error code saying "forbidden (403)"

Thanks for getting back with those details @SuperMoose. It's great to see you here again. Smiley Happy

About the error message you are receiving, it means our servers can't be reached at that moment. I would recommend to try again in a few minutes. If possible, you can try using a computer to set up your Fitbit Surge, then it should work fine with your mobile device. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for stopping by, see you around. Robot Very Happy
