Surge wont Sync nor allow me to shut down & restart the device

hi

Since Monday October 2, 2017 my Fitbit Surge will not sync with the iPhone app nor allow me to shutdown & restart the Surge. Can I delete the app & reinstall it again ? I saw an message stating if I delete the app on the phone, I would lose my data which doesn't make sense because the data is in the Cloud.

How do I get the Sync to occur? I have been using this for almost 2 years now and have never seen this before.

Thanks

Hi

When entering data in the app (foods eaten), or sync'ing the tracker, all data is sync'ed to your online account.

Deleting the app does not cause data loss. Cat Wink

If not already done, feel free restarting the tracker & the phone

  1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

Optionally check out the Fitbit Article:

Hope it helps
