Surge wristband breaking

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve had 4 Surges. All of the wrist bands broke after 9-12 months. Fitbit replaced the first 3 devices after a moderate hassle. I like how the Surge works but they are poorly designed. My question is do they have replacement bands that I can put on my current device? I am looking at the Charge 3 but would rather fix what I have. Thoughts?

Officially the answer is no: the bands on the Surge were not designed to be removed / replaced as there are electronic components built into it.

Unofficially, if you search the likes of eBay you'll find replacement kits that have replacement bands and the tools needed to install them. It does require some DIY skills but there are videos on YouTube to help.

It does invalidate any remaining warranty but it sounds like you are out of warranty anyway so there's not a lot to lose.
