Surprised about Surge being dicontinued

Product discontinued

Lesser priced Fitbit versions have detailed sleep tracking

No updates except security and those removing features.

I feel betrayed and a fool for trusting a top of line Fitbit version.

Should Fitbit allow surge users special discounts to move to another version ( say 100$) ?

If not, why should I risk being made a fool of by Fitbit again?

Products get discontinued all the time. The Surge is old IMHO

 

I do love my surge but it needs to move on with new product. Sorry.

To offset impact of discontinuation, Fitbit could have given updates like remember sleep tracking. It was being sold online even as bestbuy salesmen were claiming it will be discontinued soon.

Feels like it was discontinued to sell ionic, the only version with GPS. Don't trivialize how surge customer were treated.
