Total milage on the FITBIT Surge

I found out how to do the biking feature on my fit bit. I went for a nice ride tonight totaling at 9.4 four miles. When I got back I logged into my fitbit account to see if it updated the mileage overall for the day, and it did not. My exercising tracking is biking and it came in at 9.4 four miles, I was able to do it in 50 minutes and 20 seconds and my average mile per hour was 11.3.

Is there a way for your exercise to be tracked to be added in with your total miles tracked? My fit bit dashboard has already synced to my phone and it has not updated. I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this and if they were able to link their walking around mileage to the exercise being tracked.

No, the mileage on your dashboard is based on your steps. Miles from biking does not get included.

I would like to know how many would like to see a change so that there is an option for  bike miles to show total miles?

@JerryMc Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It is a good idea, will need to be implemented. Doing some research I found this idea on the Feature Request Board. Then, I realized the suggestion was made by you! Smiley Very Happy So I already voted for it. Hopefully all the users that would like this to happen will vote as well. I left the link above for everyone to vote!

See you around and thanks for your suggestion.

Thanks for the reply!  Most of my exercise is cycling and it would be greatly appreciated if i were able to see my total bike miles, it would also be a huge motivational tool.  Right now i am trcking my bike miles through Runkeeper and would prefer the same option in Fitbit.  Thanks, again.
