Good day,
I have noticed that this is draining the battery, but worse it is not logging my heart rate. I have restarted several times without success.
Please advise.

I would check in your profile under settings that the setting are correct and have not been changed to on.
If not then please contact support. Let them know what you have tried to resolve this issue
