Please could someone explain to me the  fitbit food report weekly over veiw?  The bit that compares the intake of calories with the calories expended on activity. I can see on the dashboard the figures for the consumed calories, and the figure for the calories expended on the activites. But I cannot see how the rest/sedentary calories expended are calulated. ( I am looking at the beginning of the week so only Monday has been logged _ its now just past midnight)

The premiun page says the rest/sedentary calories expended is 14

Whislt I thought this figure would be the calories burned today figure on the dashboard tile 'today' less the activity calories on the 'activity 'tile. In my case this is 1200 calories.

Please can someone explain  - slowly and simply  - this to me.

Thanks:)

1.This  again about calories burned. Yesterday I managed to acheive my activity calories burnt:)

But where do they get them from? In the premium section the only activity monitered was my walks and they did not equate to the total activity calories. Is there somewhere where this is shown..or could you tell me how this figure is made up.

2.When I log an activity am I right in thinking it only becomes active minutes when I am in the fat burning mode or above?

For question 1, they only show you your activities, but for the calories, they will incorporate everything that does not go into your BMR. So, this will factor in steps (and also, I assume, heart rate) during the whole day, not just during logged activities.

For question 2, if you're logging an activity, I believe it will give you the full duration of the activity as active minutes, regardless of where your heart rate is, assuming it's an activity they count as active. I have a Blaze and that's what mine does.

Hi, @wonderfulwendy! What you expect to see seems to be what my report gives me. I have something like at rest: 1200 and activity: 800 for both this week and last week. Maybe there was a glitch when you were looking and now it will be okay.

Thank you MakMak. You were correct: when I went and looked after your message it was all ok!

I hope you read this as I would like to ask another 2 questions:
