Walk randomly shows only part or all of total walk in my exercise history

Hi all - just bought a Surge recently and getting to grips with it. Like what I've seen so far except one glitch that is occurring...

I tried out the exercise functionality yesterday and did a 2.4 mile walk at lunchtime which took me 40 min or so. When I got back to work and looked at my phone it showed that I'd done a 16 minute walk and the map only showed the first part of the walk. As I looked at the screen it then updated to show the whole walk. Fair enough I guess - it was taking its time synching.

Problem is even today it sometimes shows the walk as 16 mins and other times shows the full amount - seemingly randomly. I've just finished another lunchtime walk and todays walk is fine but beneath it I can see my walk from yesterday... but its only showing the 16 mins.

Anyone else seen this phenomenon?

Hi @_pauls - I have not seen that phenomenon before. I would suggest a reboot of your Surge. That will usually clear these things up. https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/How-do-I-restart-my-tracker

@_pauls welcome! Besides @Ozzie65's advice, you can also take into consideration some factors. Trees,  high buildings and even the weather may impact your GPS readings. I'd like to know if your distance is not the correct in one specific point or if this happens randomly.

Good luck!
