Hi , my son was given a surge as a present recently and when he opened it there is no warranty card and I couldn't find any site to lodge it with in order to get the warranty recorded.
What happens when you get a gift and have no way of providing proof of purchase? Usually in this situation companies have a warranty card either hard copy or electronic and I assume that fitbit would be able to establish through the software and bar code when it was turned on or made.
Considering the issues with some people's fitbits I want the warranty to be in place.
Thanks

There's no registration progress for warranty, no warranty cards are included in the box. The purchase receipt counts to claim warranty if required.

It's up to the Fitbit Support Team to decide how to help out when the tracker is a gift and having no purchase receipt.

This seems ridiculous as what happens if you get it as a gift and cant produce these documents?  Most other companies have a registry for this exact situation and considering the issues being experienced by some users of these products I expect a warranty.  getting a gift should not void the warranty.
