Weights and steps and mileage

I am very happy with my surge of 6 months. 1 problem I have and not a biggie---If I don't go to the gym,the

steps and mileage are accurate----2165 steps=1 mile for me. However, when I lift weights, and put the watch in weight mode, I lose between .35 and .50 miles during the workout. The steps remain accurate but the mileage doesn't. Anyone have a solution and thanks?

Hi it might adjust your steps to allow for a gain in muscle weight rather than a calorie deduction. I know other programmes either don't deduct for weights or reduce because in effect your adding weight! Just a thought
