Anyone see any weirdness in HR reporting on a Surge when used on a stair climber?
It's the oddest thing, during the four or five times i've used a stairclimber with my surge, it's stopped registering a heartbeat. I understand that if my hand/arm is flexed it could affect reporting so i've tried not grabbing onto the hand rails - that had no effect. At one of the gyms i frequent, the stair climber has built in heart rate sensors, which when i use them, they seem to give a pretty accurate reading.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, good to see you around in our community @userzero. Just like you said, bending the wrist can affect the hear rate reading. My other recommendation is experimenting with how high you place the tracker on your wrist. Wearing just above the wrist bone--as you would a watch--typically works fine. However, moving the tracker up a couple inches can be helpful during high-intensity exercises improving the accuracy of your heart rate.
Even after doing this the issue still persist, why don't you try with a restart? If you need the steps for a restart I have shared the process with other user on this post. It might be useful in case you need it.
Hope this helps and see you around in case you need more help.

@RobertoME -thank you for the info! I've moved it both up and down my wrist as well as swapped arns. When I'm on a stair climber though, i deliberately don't grip onto anything to let the tracker get a fix on my HR... which it doesn't seem to be able to do. It's the oddest thing, because the tracker seems to work just fine when i go on run.
