Hi, I am very new to wearable tech and feel a little overwhelmed by the sheer volume of settings and options available to me. I thought i would ask the community the best way to set my Surge up for the purposes that i plan on using my Surge for?
1) I cycle to and from work each day. I use Strava for GPS and timings but want to be able to us the Surge to look at my HR whilst cycling to check my intesity levels and also use the Surge to track calories burned on each ride.
2) I do Yoga a couple of times a week and want to see HR at other stats during these exercises.
3) Track my steps at all other times and not have steps counted when cycling.
Reading the instructions i think i need to set Cycling/Yoga as the first two exercies to use when manually starting the Surge to track exercise and everything else should be pretty straightforward.
Many thanks in advance for any input and any other tips you offer.
Thanks,
M
PS - i see a lot of complaints about the HR monitor. Is anybody happy with it if so how or what did you do or have i wasted my money?

Hi M,
When you're tracking your ride, you can swipe the screen and it will show heart rate, clock, etc.
Same should apply for yoga, though I haven't tried it.
I've seen a few threads about tracking steps when cycling but haven't found it happens to me, so may be something that was fixed in a firmware release?
Personally I've had no issues with the heart rate tracker!
