Why my calories burned are incomplete?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My weekends activities have all been logged as burning zero calories, on both my watch and my phone app - yet my days total calorie burn yesterday was 6000+?!

Have rebooted my surge and tries resyncing the app...any other options?!

Thanks! 🙂

Welcome to the forums!

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

Nice to see you here @WendyB! I've noticed you are new around @Lulu17, so let me give you a warm welcome to our Community! Woman Very Happy

I think that those calories are coming from your Fitbit Account since it uses your basal metabolic rate (BMR) to generate calories everyday. Your BMR usually accounts for at least half of the calories you burn in a day and is estimated based on the physical data you entered when you set up your account: gender, age, height, and weight. You burn calories at rest just to maintain vital body functions like breathing, heartbeat, and brain activity.

The rest of calories comes from your activities once your Fitbit syncs your stats, which I think is not happening. So, in order to sync that information please confirm the following:

  1. Force quite the App and turn off your phone
  2. Open the Bluetooth Setting on your phone and delete Fitbit Surge from there
  3. Reboot Bluetooth to make sure Surge is not there
  4. Restart your Surge  a couple of times and Access back to Fitbit App > Account to set up your Fitbit Surge back
  5. Turn on notifications

This should solve any syncing issue that you're having, please keep me posted on the resolution! Smiley Wink
