Have been charging the new surge for 3 hours and it has done nothing. The lack of any instructions is really helpful but have tried downloading the app on my iPhone.they won't pair and the watch is dead. Seems like and expensive gimmick. Am I missing something?

Hi, @abtd, here is the Fitbit Surge manual which you may find helpful.
You should be able to charge your Surge using a computer USB port, but not a hub. Remember that in most cases a computer will not deliver charge unless it is awake. You can also use any UL certified cell phone charger that will accept the Surge's USB cable. Make sure the connection between the cable and the Surge is secure.
