Just woken up and my surge is completely dead. Was charged just over 24 hours ago, not responding to being plugged into charger now, and none of the buttons will get it to turn back on.

Is this a known fault?

Actually, your right. If you aren’t tracking runs or exercises that use GPS, your fully charged Fitbit Surge should last up to 7 days. A fully charged Surge can track up to 10 hours of activities that use GPS. Because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary.

Also try to clean the contacts of your tracker regularly. These contacts can become obstructed by microscopic dirt or debris that prevents them from making a good connection to the charger. Use a toothpick or toothbrush to clean the charging contacts; do not scrape them with anything metal because this may damage the plating and result in corrosion.

I agree with @WendyB, try to restart your Surge if you haven't do so. And check these tips to improve the battery life of your Surge. How are you changing your Surge? We recommend plugging your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or other low-energy device. If necessary, you can use a UL-certified USB wall charger. Don't use a USB hub or battery pack to charge, and only use the charging cable that came with your tracker.

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

Aahhh, it's turned on now and showing a dead battery. Though surely just tracking the normal steps/heart/sleep and not asking it to track workouts shouldn't kill the battery in 36 hours? ( was charged about 7pm on Saturday and died sometime overnight).

Normally just through a usb port. I've exchanged it at the shop as after charging it this morning it was nearly dead again by 5pm. Got a nice shiny new one charging up as we speak.

Thanks for your help guys 🙂
