Wrong amount of calories

Hi

I purchased a Surge yesterday and have set it up on a medium calorie plan, so I need to have a 500 calorie deficit to meet my goals.

However, this has said I need to eat 1500 calories a day, which is wrong as I am a male, and we need to eat 2500 calories a day, so with my deficit this should be 2000. How can I change this? I have made sure I am a male in my profile settings.

Thanks

The 2500 calories per day is a generalisation. Fitbit calculates an individual figure for you based on your profile settings: not just your gender but age, weight and possibly others.

If you are happy that your profile settings are correct then your weight plan will be too.
