There is no way I have burned 760 calories after turning on my Surge and sat here drinking coffee for 30 minutes. I haven't gone .30 miles either. The data for calories, steps, and distance is a complete farce and needs to be addressed. I have adjusted all available settings (personal data, stride length, dominant/non dominant, etc) and still the information is incorrect...not even close. As a fitness enthusiast and personal trainer I am very adept in the biomechanics of the human body and very disappointed in this portion of the product. The heart rate monitor, actual workout info, and other features work very well. So unless I am using it for a workout, my very expensive Surge only tells time and monitors heart rate correctly. Additionally, why can I not access activity logs from watch or app...seriously???? I have to go to website, log in again....just to go back and see workouts. If there is something I am missing please let me know. Please spare me the algorithm response that I have read in so many other dissatisfied users posts. I want to enjoy my Surge and be able to use the (correct) data, but losing faith fast in your products.

Sincerely, Mike

Thanks for stating the obvious... Expecting a dumb **ahem** response from the likes of you...I posted the amount of calories and duration. So go waste someone else's time with your stupid responses.

Thank you for the (good) feedback. However BMR (basal metabolic rate) is not your total caloric intake. I understand Fitbit uses a BMR based on personal data input by user to calculate an estimated total. My hopes and expectations was that it would calculate actual measurements, not limited input data based on a uniform chart. Thank you again for the good feedback Wendy.

it does

there is the basic metabolic rate, when you're sleeping.

more activities, more calories used.

drinking coffee during 30 minutes don't consumme calories.
