Hello. I'm an active Fitbit Surge user living in an equatorial climate. I wear it almost daily and take it off in the evenings to shower and clean the watch and wear it back before i sleep.
Recently its been difficult to charge it. Meaning i have to hold the charging cable tightly to the watch or keep repositioning the connection btw the watch and cable to get it to charge and then not move it again.
The pins on the watch are starting to corrode? Is this normal or have I reached terminal part of the watch's life that once the pins corrode it cant be charged. Or is there a way to repair or change the pins?
Thanks.
I personally think having the pins in contact with skin is not a good deign for durability.

@Yangman The corrosion is not normal but is very common. Cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab and the charging "socket" with a tooth brush should help. Cleaning the plug should help as well. It also looks as if the band is deteriorating. Amazon and E-bay sell aftermarket bands and YouTube has the "how to" videos (if you are so inclined). Good luck.
