Hi all, we've just been to buy our new Fitbit Surge's and on the way home hubby dropped his iPhone and it now won't work. Can he get the Surge set up to start using it now or will he have to wait until the new phone arrives? Apologies if this has been asked previously

Hi, @Pebbles3393, you do not need a smart phone, as long as you have some device that will set up and sync a Fitbit: a computer running the Windows 10 app, or the Fitbit Connect Software (using the sync dongle), an iPad (3 or above) or many Android tablets.

Since ot sounds like you both have new Surges. If you have a working SmartPhone you can set up your Surge, and then your husband can also use your phone to set up and sync his Surge temporarily -- you will simply need to log out of your Fitbit account so that he can create/ log into his.

ps, if you decide to temporarily double up using your phone, once his new phone arrives be sure to "forget" his Surge under Bluetooth devices on your phone before he tries to set it up on his, and then turn off BT on your phone, or move it out of range, while he is doing the set up.
