floor counting by my surge is wrong and also have doubts about the correct distance

I have purchased Surge some 2-3 months back. Somewhere last week the floors recorded by it have gone haywire and it shows 29 floors whereas most days i would be climbing not more than 8-9 floors. Also the distance and pace seem to be inaccurate even when the GPS is turned on. There seems to be a difference of about 200 mts every kilometre compared to other tracking devices. Also the GPS gets lost so very often.

 

Am not very happy with these errors and am not sure if I would recommend Fitbit to others because of these niggling issues. Are these specific to my Surge or all of these devices have these problems.

Floors will be added when its windy or cold. I just ignore it.

 

As fir the other have you ever done a restart? It fixes many things
