I bought my fitbit surge 2 years ago and love the facilities on it. I often work from home and can sit for long periods of time working without realizing it. I review my details on line everyday and I can honestly say this watch has helped me get fitter and stay fit. However last year the strap snapped and I ordered a new one. Then this week the battery socket inside the watch disintegrated as I tried to plug in the charging cable. I'm so upset, I found the bit that fell out of the socket and it's like a tiny plastic casing that was housing the watches power supply pins, however its snapped away and I have no idea how to get it back in place without damaging the watch. I thought these watches would last minimum 5 years as they are so expensive at £189 two years ago. Has anyone had the same issues and is there anything like a repair service that might take a look and be able to repair this issue. thanks

Fitbit does not have repair facilities and most parts are not available. There are some 3rd party parts available such as straps and batteries but I doubt the parts you require are available. Fitbit warranties are 2 years in the UK and 1 year everywhere else.
Note, there is currently a Black Friday sale on until 11/26/18. Perhaps you can find something of interest here.

The same thing has just happened to me . My phone didn't charge last night . I went to plug it into it's charger , but the charger wouldn't plug in . On closer inspection the whole plastic bit holding the charging pins in the port had crumbled .
