my fitbit surge battery dies down within 6 -7 hrs when gps is on

have recently bought fitbit surge and have noticed that with the gps on, the battery dies down within 6-7 hrs even after full charging before the activity. Also recently, the screen went blank during one activity and i presumed that the battery died. Later when i synced the tracker the next day it reflected the activity time to be more than 31 hrs though the distance and other parameters were till the time the screen had not gone blank.

With the GPS on, the surge will only last 5-6 hours.  My problem is that my surge will not hold a charge longer than 1-2 days even with the GPS off.

@vpm Check with Customer Service. If they can't help solve your issues (and the Surge is within the warranty period) they will send a replacement. Good luck!

@sunrisexc The GPS is only active when you use an activity that requires GPS tracking. However check with Customer Service for the battery life otherwise. If they can't help (and your Surge is within the warranty period) they will most likely send a replacement.

Are you sure you are turning GPS off after exercise?
