not honouring warranty

I bought my Surge on eBay as new in April 2017. its now not swiping and seems to randomly not sync at least once per week. for a while, a restart fixed the issue for a week or so. its now it stuck on either run or clock. i have contacted Fitbit support via email. they state they won't honour the warranty as they don't authorise eBay to sell Fittbits? seems odd as there are literally hundreds if not thousands of fitbit sold this way. not great customer service, and to cap it all there seems to be no option to take my Fitbit to a repair centre

I'm sorry but there is no way they know where the seller got the fitbit.
