restart records saved on fitbit surge

I had several surgeries over the past two years that have kept me from working out (neck rebuilt with rods and plates).  Is there a way to reset all the recorded data in my fitbit surge, to begin fresh with new data without uninstalling and reinstalling which would lose all fitbit updates?
