Since the clocks went forward last night ive just gone on to the app to sync about 10 ateps ive done and its sitll saying 8,000 from yesterday and has now moved me up the leader board im rather confused its never done this before

It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community @sunblock. It seems that your Surge time didn't register your steps at the right time. I'm afraid there is actually no option to correct the steps of the previous day, however to avoid having this inconvenience in the future please set up your tracker as a replacement device. Hope this helps.
