! Hmmm... is that the only time it happened? If so, I'm assuming that for some reason your Surge forgot to be reset by itself that midnight and that's why it was showing the same steps for the previous day.
Even if you try to reset your Fitbit, this won't work due to the steps will disappear until the next midnight. This happened to me once, so I fee you my friend, but there's nothing to worry about since your tracker should work as it use to the next day.
