tracking overall cardiovascular fitness on the Fitbit app using a Surge

I contacted the helpdesk today as I could not seem to find screen showing the overall cardiovascular fitness info that my wife can on her Charge 2.  Although I had a very swift reply, I was disappointed to find out that only Fitbit Alta HR, Fitbit Blaze and Fitbit Charge 2 can track overall cardiovascular fitness in the Fitbit app.  Is it just me who feels slightly cheated by this after paying out for a Surge?

Cheers

Mal

Hi, @Penygraig, unfortunately that was not a feature available when the Surge came out -- that is why only the newer Fitbits have this.

The Surge firmware has not been updated in some time.  As far as I am aware, Fitbit have not announced that the Surge is being discontinued.  However on the Fitbit website there is only very limited availability in the US and none at all in Europe, so I am guessing that although they will continue to support the Surge, they are unlikely to be updating it.

Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android
